London with its iconic skyline and the Thames has been a favourite muse for many an artist, including Monet, Canaletto and many more.  And it's not just classical artists: contemporary painters such as Ed Gray, Jenny Pockley and Alicia Dubnickyj have all been inspired to create their own vision of London on canvas.

Heather Leitch is the latest artist to catch our eye with her paintings of famous landmarks, like St Paul's and Piccadilly Circus. Her previous works have included views of Paris and Venice but in her latest exhibition, London is the sole focus. It's the energy of her work that grabbed our attention and we're looking forward to seeing more works like her dynamic representation of Piccadilly Circus at night, in this week long exhibition.

London Town by Heather Leitch is on at Gallery@Oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, South Bank, SE1 9PH from 3-7 April. Admission is free.
