Ticket Alert: The Shed @ The National Theatre

A lizard-ballet, atomic blasts, mind-reading, levitation and a very special piece of furniture.

It's all there in the opening shows at The Shed, the temporary National Theatre venue, opening in April.

Tickets go on sale today for the first three productions: Table, written by Tanya Ronder and directed by Rufus Norris, is an epic tale of belonging and identity and features six generations, nine performers, 30 parts and a very special table. Bullet Catch, as the title suggests, is an magical evening culminating in the most notorious finale in show business. And Mission Drift is a pioneering journey in pursuit of the soul of American capitalism, with original music fusing Vegas glitz with rock and gospel.

Tickets cost £12 and £20 and go on sale at 8.30 this morning. There'll be performances at The Shed from April until February next year, presenting theatre-makers familiar to the National Theatre as well as emerging voices. The unique venue also provides a third stage during the Cottesloe Theatre's closure for the NT Future redevelopment.

Follow The Shed @ntSHED or visit theshedtheatre.co.uk for more info about the venue and what's on.
