Random London Fact of the Day
Our well of random facts is running a little dry at the moment. Sure, we could trot out all the oldies, like the only station name with none of the letters in the word 'mackerel', or the one about the Monument being exactly the same height as its distance from the source of the Great Fire...but these are old facts, often regurgitated. We need some new facts, goddamnit, and so we need your help. If you think you've got a piece of London trivia so obscure that we've never heard it before, please send along to matt@londonist.com. Please. Go on.

London Weather
Thirteen degrees? What's going on? That's, like, almost eighteen degrees, which is the average London temperature for July. It gets even better if you convert to Fahrenheit: 55.4 degrees. That sounds really hot. But the way to make today truly seem like a scorcher is to look at the absolute temperature scale...286 Kelvin! Run around in your underwear like a loon, lapping up those rays. It doesn't get much hotter than this*.

*It does get much hotter than this.
