Ticket Alert: Wilfred Bagshaw's Time Emporium

Regrets. We’ve had a few. From ordering the wrong sandwich to the ‘one that got away’, turning back time is the eternal worrier’s wet dream. So, hold onto your monocles and brace(s) your selves for Wilfred Bagshaw's Time Emporium, which will be turning back the clock, and taking you with him, from Village Underground in Shoreditch.

Protagonist and Victorian-era gentleman Wilfred Bagshaw transports dimension-defying explorers back to key moments in history in this ambitious theatrical event. The emphasis is on the interactive, with the role of participants greatly elevated above that of spectator. Those who tried London Transport Museum's Project X last year, will have a good idea. This first expedition transports you back to 16 February 1358, a time of plague, war and ignorance. "A host of unforeseen threats" are promised.

Get through everything the past has to chuck at you (again) and the reward is a proper blow-out, curated by festival-throwing powerhouse Winterwell, with music, dancing and drinks till dawn. If the venue's past DJs are anything to go by (Norman Jay, DJ Yoda) it’s going to be one hell of a party.

We can’t guarantee your childhood sweetheart will be there though.

Wilfred Bagshaw's Time Emporium runs 22-23 March; tickets are £25 for the main show, £15 for the after party only.
