Ticket Alert: Muse, The Who, Ian Anderson, Foals And More

If you like your rock overblown and contemporary - and you fancy seeing one of the world's biggest stadium bands in a much smaller venue - you can see Muse at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on 18 February. It's a one-off charity gig for War Child. Tickets £50 + bf.

Alternatively, The Who will play their 1973 album Quadrophenia in full at The O2 on 15 June. They've offered Bradley Wiggins free entry, but the rest of us will have to stump up at least £60 + bf.

Continuing this week's rock theme are Smashing Pumpkins. OK, so Billy Corgan is the only remaining original member, but the Pumpkins can still thrill when they want to. See them at Wembley Arena on 22 July. Tickets from £38.50 + bf.

Following a successful 2012 tour, Ian Anderson will play the Royal Albert Hall on 30 June. Part of the Thick As A Brick tour, it'll be a two-part show where Anderson and his band will be performing his Jethro Tull 1972 classic in its entirety, followed by recent material from its 2012 sequel. Tickets from £42.50 + bf.

In the genre-spanning department there's the ever-versatile Nitin Sawhney, who'll play a one-off London date at the Roundhouse on 27 June. Tickets £23.50 + bf.

Finally, a heads-up for Foals fans: the band have added a date at XOYO on 7 February. It's one of this year's NME Awards shows and you'll need to enter an online ballot from 9am tomorrow for the chance to buy tickets.

Also on sale this week: the annual I'll Be Your Mirror festival, this year headlined by Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Grizzly Bear.
