Club Watch: "Bop! Club" with The Tricks @ Hysteria

London pop-flirting indie outfit The Tricks are hosting their third monthly club night, ‘Bop! Club’, next week to coincide with the release of new single,  Not Too Young. As you'll know if you click the foregoing hyperlink, this track — understatement alert! — makes for easy humming as well as DVT-defying self-conscious foot tapping on the dancefloor.

Launched back in July at Hysteria (née The Junction Room), ‘Bop! Club’ has not only been showcasing The Tricks' live repertoire but also DJ sets from the likes of The Original Deejay Dave, Hashtag DJs, Mens Adventures and Cream Tease DJs. Joining The Tricks and The Original Deejay Dave at this month's event will be Mia Farrow/Annie Lennox look-a-like Lizzie and the Yes Men, with what publicists are describing as "surf pop and punk". There will also be a DJ set from bloggers' darlings Savages.

The Tricks are promoting 'Bop! Club' as “an organized social occasion”. As such, your wallets and purses needn't contain much more than an oyster card, lipstick and some beer money, as entry is free. With the additional promise of various drinks promotions, we're thinking this night could be both great and cheap, a winning combination by anyone's standard.

'Not Too Young' is out as a download-only single on 9 September. 'Bop! Club' is on @ Hysteria in Dalston on 13 September. Doors 8pm.
