Once the Olympics and Paralympics are all wrapped up, we can anticipate one last hurrah on the streets of London. A victory parade has been announced for Monday 10 September, the day after the Paralympics closing ceremony.
The route is yet to be determined, but the British Olympic Association are looking at a jaunt from Guildhall in the City to Buckingham Palace. All 542 GB Olympians and Paralympians will be invited, and those with medals will be encouraged to flaunt them. The event gives Games-hungry fans a final chance to bask in the Olympic spirit, with a ticket-free opportunity to eyeball our new national heroes. More details should be released later this week.
