CLIMATE: In association with the US Embassy, the Royal Institution puts on a rare free event (we presume, as no info is given on price) about the past, present and future of Earth's climate. FREE, 7pm

VISUALISATION: Is there beauty in scientific data? Imperial College explores the idea with an exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery that runs from today until 2 July. FREE, 1-6pm each day
ARCHITECTURE: RIBA hosts another Last Tuesday open day at its Portland Place HQ. This month's theme seems to be play and sport, with a handful of talks, games and events throughout the evening. FREE, 6pm
SLEEP: This month's Cosy Science event gets even cosier with a look at the science of sleep. UCL researcher Jason Rihel is at the Exmouth Arms to pull a few zzzzzs. FREE, 7pm
NEUROSCIENCE: Mo Costandi is this month's guest speaker at London Skeptics in the Pub (the Monarch, Camden Town). Mo will talk about new developments in neuroscience and how they might provide insights into why people believe in paranormal stuff. £2, 7.30pm
DOMESTIC SCIENCE: Helen Arney and Rob Wells deploy the blender of entertainment, mixing comedy, science and home cooking. This Edinburgh preview takes place in the diminutive upstairs room at the Green Man, Riding House Street. Further dates are available next week if you can't get in. £4, 8pm

REGENERATIVE MEDICINE: Or, in other words, growing new body parts to replace faulty or missing ones. For a talk about recent progress, head along to another free event at the Royal Institution. FREE, 7pm
HISTORY OF SCIENCE: Join Quentin Cooper and Chris Hilton at Wellcome Collection for a talk about two 19th Century quaker scientists. FREE, 7pm
Thursday 28 June
ARCHITECTURE: This one sounds a bit special — a free talk by architect Sir Terry Farrell in the beautiful St Bride's about whether London can ever be masterplanned. Sir Tez, as we like to call him, is the man behind such places as the MI6 headquarters at Vauxhall and that massive office building above Charing Cross station. FREE, 6.30pm
ANATOMY: Explore the relationship between art and anatomy at Wellcome Collection, with three speakers. FREE, 7pm
Sunday 1 July
ENGINEERING: It's the monthly open day at the Kirkaldy Testing Museum on Southwark Street, an engineering workshop where materials were tested for strength. FREE, 11am-3pm
GEEK COMEDY: Geek Night Out, downstairs at The Comedy Pub on Oxendon Street, promises "Paul Harry Allen, Luke Benson and Josie Long as well as improv from The Rogues and other surprises". Paul Gannon MCs. FREE, 8pm
