Almost literally hot on the heels of our recent post about a race up Tower 42, we discover there's a similar charity event taking place at the Gherkin in a couple of months.
Step Change, in aid of Childline, gives you the chance to enjoy the views from the top of the curvy City landmark, usually off limits to the general public. The catch? You have to walk or run up over 1,000 steps to the 38th floor. Those who can't handle such a stair-surfeit can alternatively apply for the 'champagne lift pass' (but you still have to pledge money for the charity).
Step Change takes place on Sunday 4 March. More details and booking forms here.
