What's for Lunch? Pilpel, Paternoster Square

'Sufficiently cruncy on the outside and fluffy on the inside' falafel stuffed amply into a pita at a decent price: pleased we were to sample the chickpea creations on offer when Pilpel opened at Spitalfields. And pleased we are to know Pilpel's simple and tasty food is now available at a second location near St Paul's.

Prices have gone up a bit since the first Pilpel launched in the summer of 09 but £4.25 for freshly made falafel and houmous in a pita with lots of salad, tahini and chilli sauce is still an affordably filling lunch.

Planning to occupy the London Stock Exchange, see what all the protest fuss is about, simply get to work or play tourist? Dropping in for a quick bite served up in a friendly manner ain't a bad idea at all.

Pilpel #2 is located at Queens Head Passage, Paternoster Square, London, EC4M 7DZ.
