Last night marked the official opening of new (and yummy) Pilpel Falafel and Houmous Bar on Brushfield Street across from Spitalfield Market. “Chickpea muncher” Uri Dinay, owner of Pilpel, took the lessons (and the 60 year old falafel recipe) he learned from his grandfather for inspiration.
Based upon last night’s sample of Pilpel’s menu, we reckon lots of other folks will find inspiration in this food, especially considering the more than decent prices they’ll pay for it. Falafel (sufficiently crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside) with a pitta and a choice of salad costs £3.99. Visit Pilpel at 38 Brushfield Street. Find out more at the Pilpel website.
