Looking for a fun and unusual night out? Visit the first StockMKT night market in Bermondsey Square on Friday 2nd December. Inspired by the night markets of the Far East but with a London twist, the latest in London's pop-ups will be making appearances in a variety of locations in the capital.
While you browse the stalls of creative and independent local retailers, you can feast on a range of culinary delights from the best of London's street food vendors including Indian burgers, Korean sliders and Latin American churros.
Each market will be tailored to its location and features bespoke lighting from The StockMKT's sponsors, Light Collective and Aether Lighting - the Bermondsey Square market will be lit by a modern twist on Chinese lanterns. There will also be music from DJs Culture Cuts and even seasonal drinks served up by local independent cinema and bar Shortwave. For those who want to get hands-on, there will be a creative craft workshop with Art Stars.
Voted south London's coolest street, the Bermondsey Street area is a vibrant community hosting a range of independent designers, small businesses and restaurants including Zucca which featured in Londonist's food pages this summer. The Square itself won the mayor's award for London's best new public space as well as being home to an antiques market on Fridays and Bermondsey Farmer's Market on Saturdays.
