My World Shared: The UK’s First Instagram Exhibition @ East Gallery, Brick Lane

Images from Instagram, the photo-sharing network, are going on display in East London next month.

Organised by @IGersLondon, 30 Instagramers are displaying a selection of their photos at the East Gallery on Brick Lane from 22 to 23 October in an exhibition called "My World Shared".

Instagram is a relatively new photo-sharing network for iPhone – but in less than a year, it's secured 9 million members (that’s quicker than Twitter or Foursquare), and there’s an Android app in the pipeline. The @IGersLondon group, part of the Instagramers community created by @philgonzalez in January this year, is thriving, organising regular photowalks and social events for members.

In true social networking style, even if you’re unable to get to the exhibition itself, you can still be part of My World Shared by following #myworldshared and @igerslondon on Instagram and Twitter.

My World Shared is at East Gallery on Brick Lane, London, E1 6SA on 22 and 23 October. Visit www.instagramers.com to find out more.
