Paralympic Competition Schedule Released

The full Paralympic competition schedule has been released today ahead of one year to go celebrations due on Bank Holiday Monday.

As we reported back in May, ticketing is very exciting. A seat at the Paralympic Opening Ceremony could be yours for a mere £500 top whack, when the application process opens on 9 September. Half of tickets are priced at £10 or less. £10 day passes are up for grabs enabling you to see multiple events during one visit to the Olympic Park (Goalball, Wheelchair Basketball, Football, Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Rugby), Excel (Table Tennis, Judo, Volleyball, Powerlifting and Boccia) and the Royal Artillery Barracks (Shooting and Archery).

If you've not much planned for the long weekend, browse the schedules and work out a plan of attack for applying for tickets. With top priced tickets for crowd pulling medal sessions in athletics and swimming at £45 they really are excellent value. In case you didn't sign up for information on Olympic tickets, do so now here so you don't miss out.

Paralympic broadcaster, Channel 4, has picked out some key rivalries to look out for at the Games and there's lots more news plus athlete and sport information at their 2012 Paralympic website.

International Paralympic Day will be held on 8 September in Trafalgar Square.
