Literary salon Polari is at the RVT's Hot August Fringe with guests Karen McLeod, Sophia Blackwell and Christopher Fowler (7pm, £5).

Legendary poet Fran Landesman died a couple of weeks ago; celebrate her life with Miles Davis Landesman, Simon Wallace, Sarah Moule, Michael Horovitz, Molly Parkin, Dudley Sutton, Abraham Gibson, Niall Spooner-Harvey and Kath Best, at the RADA Foyer Bar, scene of her last gig (7pm, £6 / £5).
Kat Francois hosts a night of SLAM poetry at the Poetry Cafe (8pm, £5 / £3).
