Want To Work At The Olympic Games? Register Now.

If you skipped the voluntary roles of Games Maker and London Ambassador in the hope of making a few quid or even a career out of the 2012 Olympics, your time has come. Registration is now open at the official recruitment website: www.jobsforthegames.co.uk

It is estimated that over 100,000 jobs will be created by the Games, covering a vast array of roles. It's obvious that an army of customer service, catering and cleaning personnel will be required in the lead up to and throughout the month of action during which the Olympic and Paralympic competitions play out across venues but we're having midweek imagination failure about some of the 'technical roles' that will need to be filled. Starting pistol polisher and medal monitor are certainly ones we'd be up for. Let us know what your ideal Olympic job would be in the comments.

Register at www.jobsforthegames.co.uk, upload your CV and look keen. You'll be the first to find out about those Olympic opportunities.

As as aside, 2012 merchandise now extends to kitchen linen and there are some rather striking tea cosies and pinnies available if the sniff of tickets means you're getting into Olympic mode at home.
