With a little over 500 days before the Games, the Olympic Delivery Authority has released another batch of photographs showing how the site is developing.
The most noticeable difference since our last bird's-eye safari is the greenery: splashes of grass, saplings and other bits of landscaping are now evident, as the Park begins to emerge from its years-long chrysalis as a huge building site into a scrubbed-up and manicured sporting hub, befitting of the world's attention next summer. Also, work on the Orbit tower is underway, and can be seen in some of the photographs beside the main stadium.
The Velodrome, which can be seen in a couple of the photos above, was officially opened today. The BBC takes a ride around the venue.
