Libya Protests Head To Downing Street

A protest to show solidarity with protesters in Libya has been called for 3-6pm outside Downing Street today.

There were passionate protests outside the Libyan embassy yesterday, which saw embassy staff come out to join the demonstration and one man climb up the building to replace the national flag with one from the pre-Gaddafi era.

As reports come in of bodies on the streets of Tripoli and warplanes bombing the suburbs, protesters want to keep up pressure on international governments to intervene. The UN Security Council is meeting today to discuss the crisis, including the possibility of declaring a no-fly zone to prevent arms and mercenaries from arriving in the country.
