Announcing Londonist's 'Lost London' Pub Quiz

Update: This event is now fully booked. We'll post again in early May if places become available.

We've got another pub quiz coming up, in which all the questions will be themed around London. In fact, they'll all be themed around 'lost London'. That means vanished landmarks, buried rivers, closed Tube stations...anything that once was of London, but is no more.

Where: It's something of a tradition that Londonist pub quizzes must never take place in pubs. We've previously quizzed at a book shop and a science venue. This time round, we'll be at the Hunterian Museum, part of the Royal College of Surgeons on Lincoln's Inn Fields.

When: 13 May, 6.30-8.30 pm. Yes, yes, it's a long way off. But we've already had a few bookings via postings by the Hunterian Museum—best to give you an early alert so you don't miss out. The 8.30 pm finishing time is a guess, by the way. It may go on slightly longer.

What: 50 or 60 questions about vanished London, written by Londonist and possibly a guest factsmith or two. Special rounds will get you exploring the museum's macabre yet wondrous exhibits. The event ties in with both Museums at Night and the Hunterian's upcoming Lost Museums exhibition, which will look at collections now lost to history. The winning team will receive a London-themed goody bag.

What now: The event is free, but space is finite so you'll need to book in advance. To do so, simply send an email to [email protected] with your expected team size (maximum 5).
