Climate Change Protestors Use Boris Bikes As Billboards

We've seen some innovative modifications to the Cycle Hire bikes since they launched in July, but this is the most impressive yet: a group of protestors, who are calling on the Japanese to reverse their decision to oppose an extension to the Koyto treaty, have turned the bikes into mobile billboards.

Londonist writer JamesU snapped the protestors cycling up Curzon Street in Soho earlier today, their bikes laden with placards sporting Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth, and Cafod logos. They are calling on the Japanese to change their stance and thus 'save' the Cancun climate change talks.

With the bikes now available to anyone with a credit / debit card, expect them to become a regular fixture at protest events, and a potential getaway vehicle for miscreants after they've attacked the heir to the throne's motorcade.
