Theatre Preview - Contractions @ 3-4 Picton Place

contractions.jpeg From Office Space to The Office via Dilbert, we have become very familiar with the quirkier side of cubicleland. Contractions premiered at the Royal Court in 2008 and is now in the building recently vacated by the impressive immersive theatre experience Theatre Souk. It continues in the same vein by putting you inches away from the action as part of a small audience watching Emma and her Manager (pictured) have a series of increasingly surreal meetings about her relationship with a colleague.

Located in a real office within the ex-Uzbekistan Airways building near Bond Street, Contractions was written by twenty-something Mike Bartlett and comes hot on the heels of his recent play Earthquakes in London at the National Theatre which ended last month.

Contractions is 45 minutes long and is running between October 26th (Tuesday) and 30th (Saturday) at 8pm with a special lunchtime performance at 1pm on October 27th if you fancy a break from your daily deskwich experience.

Tickets are £9 (£8 concessions) and are available at the venue or online through the official website.
