A series celebrating the talent of our friends over in the Londonist Flickr pool. Here, they introduce themselves and share their favourite London shots. Today, meet Iris Jones AKA Christina Owen

I’ve lived on the outskirts of London all my life, apart from a few years spent on the South coast, and I missed ‘my city’ so much during that time. Ever since I was a child, getting on a train that would take me into the centre of London for a day out was always such a treat. Since 2006, when I bought my first SLR, I’ve felt that same way about travelling ‘into town’ to wander the streets looking for, and photographing those little, and often hidden things that brighten up the city. Among the monotonous grey and brown buildings and pavements there are spots of colour just waiting to be found. I like hunting them down and catching them on camera.I’ve been a photographer for 4 years and I’ve been to many places, but London is my favourite. It’s home. Maybe one day I’ll leave again, to go and live somewhere else. But I’ll always be back with a camera and an eye for the little things that people might often walk right past and miss. If I can get those things on camera then perhaps they won’t be missed after all (You can see some of these things on my blog - www.undane.co.uk).For more, browse Christina's Flickrstream and have a look at previous 'behind the lensers' x
