Heavy handed traffic control? A monster game of Monopoly? Nope, it's art. 'Vroom Vroom' by Lorenzo Quinn, features the artist's first ever car and a giant child's hand. The work will be temporarily installed on Park Lane in the next few weeks, and remain on show till April 2011, having previously appeared in Valencia and Abu Dhabi. The area is no stranger to giant sculpture. Park Lane is guarded by the overbearing and underdressed statue of Achilles in Hyde Park. A six tonne horses head graces the lawns of Marble Arch to the north, and a famously gigantic statue of Wellington once dominated Hyde Park Corner to the south. Pic copyright Westminster Council.
