ASA Rules Stansted Express Ads 'Misleading'

standstedexperss.jpg National Express has had its knuckles rapped by the Advertising Standards Agency over posters which they say imply that a train to central London only takes 35 minutes. If your definition of central London is Tottenham Hale then this is correct but for those with slightly less elastic notions of distance, the extra 10 minutes that it takes to get to Liverpool Street would at least allow you to see the sights without a pair of binoculars. National Express somewhat disingenuously responded that although Tottenham Hale is in Zone 3, you can get a tube to anywhere actually in central London though if it's one of the planned strike days you could find yourself and your suitcase stuck in the suburbs.
