Last Ditch Talks To Avert Tube Strikes

Two 48-hour walkouts by RMT members employed by the recently-acquired Tube Lines hang in the balance as TfL management and union leaders try to come to some sort of agreement over the usual beefs of pay, conditions and jobs. The strike dates have been announced for 23-25 June and 14-16 July and will affect the Piccadilly, Northern and Jubilee Lines, though if you think you can avoid yet more Jubilee Line misery, think again - staff on the DLR plan a walkout over an unrelated pay quibble which is perfectly timed to coincide with the June tube strike.
