Former Labour Minister Stephen Timms Stabbed

Ex-Treasury minister Stephen Timms was stabbed earlier this afternoon in his east London constituency. According to a report in The Sun, the MP was attending a surgery in his East Ham constituency when he was stabbed in the chest by a "crazed knifewoman" at around 3.20pm. The 21-year old woman has been arrested and her mental state is being assessed by doctors; fortunately, Mr. Timms' injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
