Save 6Music, Change The Libel Laws

It's crunch time for the two great causes célèbres of the Anglotwitteromosphere: getting MPs to amend the English libel laws and stopping the BBC from ablating its 6Music station (though slapping Geoff Hoon can't be far behind). Key campaign actions are planned this week for both causes.

Today at 2pm, a 'mass lobby' will take place in a committee room at the House of Commons. The organisers want as many people as possible to show for this, the last chance to decry the parlous state of English libel law before election manifestos are published. You're probably too late to secure a place, but there's bound to be a small gathering outside too.

Then, on Saturday 27 March (midday), protesters will gather outside Broadcasting House on Portland Place to show solidarity for the condemned 6Music station. The organisers suggest you bring a flask of tea and take part in a good old sing-along. We hazard there will also be the odd bout of Stevenage to assess the clique size.
