London Cycle Hire Scheme Starts On 30 July

Transport for London's much anticipated cycle hire scheme will launch in four months time, on 30 July, it was announced today. Sort of. We've yet to track down a press release, or official statement, and TfL have not responded to enquiries. But, nevertheless, several credible sites and the Evening Standard all say it is so.
