The grand old Wendy house of Regent Street, Liberty, may be up for sale after making over £7 million losses in the past year and a half. Business Week reports that the attractive department store has been approached by potential buyers, with an estimated asking cost of £40 million. If the sale goes through, the firm would continue to operate from the mock-Tudor landmark, renting from the new owners. The news comes at a time when the value of commercial property in London is on the upswing after two years in the doldrums. Image / ChrisGoldNY.
