A week after Puff Daddy was improbably linked with Crystal Palace, a more plausible mash-up between hip hop and the Premier League has emerged: Jay-Z is considering an investment in Arsenal, at least according to this pun-tastic Daily Mail article. Shawn Carter, as he's probably known to his dentist, is a self-confessed Gooner, having fallen in love with the team when the swaggering of Thierry Henry was a regular sight in north London, and in an interview with Arsenal Magazine, hinted that he'd be interested in ploughing some money into the club, "if the right opportunity presented itself". Fans might enjoy seeing the rapper's many millions spent on new playing staff, but other areas of the club infrastructure are in rude health: to judge from the fine playng surface at the Emirates, Jay-Z may have 99 problems, but the pitch ain't one.
