We just love it when two London institutions come together to defy all odds and keep a bloody good party going. Having lost their home when Turnmills closed their doors ending a monthly residency launched on NYE 2001, Together have moved their eclectic parties to The Coronet; Elephant & Castle's lesser known club venue.
The Coronet itself is now under new management and whilst we're not sure entirely what that means for the clubbing Londoner, it does mean that we get to enjoy this collaboration with Together in the comfort of a three floor 1920s art deco building which boasts London's biggest main dance floor.
Now at the 3rd in a series of 13 events; Friday night's nautical themed fancy dress 'Enchantment Under The Sea' party hands the main 'cabin' reigns to Smash and Grab who have added an Indie twist to proceedings. Headlining Reverend and the Makers have the perfect indie/beat fusion to make this night an exciting prospect. Other acts in the main cabin include The Maccabees (DJ set) and Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw on the decks, Queens of Noize, 22 piece all-girl choir Gaggle and fresh from supporting Florence & The Machine, Babeshadow.
If you can tear yourself away from the main cabin there are another two to enjoy and between them hosting Mumford & Sons, Beans on Toast, Josh Weller, Golden Silvers, The Invisible and cult indie label Merok records.
Did we mention this is all for a tenner in advance, fifteen on the door? See you on the dance floor me hearties!
Together - Season 1 at The Coronet on Friday 26th March from 10pm - 6am. Tickets £10 in advance or £15 on the door. For information visit the Together website.
