Fashion Mavericks' aim is to bring a breath of fresh air to London Fashion Week by presenting an eclectic mix of new and established designers. Held at The Strand Palace Hotel (not the best venue for a catwalk - with only one spotlight, we have to say), we definitely saw some rising stars of the fashion world. First up was Saffron Knight and her 'Princess of the Knight' collection.

Models in fiery red wigs wore adventurous layered outfits from which inspiration was drawn from Saffrons dual Jamaican/British heritage and musical styles such as dancehall, jazz and flamenco. Hand painted fabrics and beautiful prints added texture and depth to these tribal style creations but we're not sure who would, or could wear them outside of the catwalk? With a debut like this however, we'll certainly be keeping an eye out for what she does next..

Next London Fashion Week instalment tomorrow.
