If you want to step up a gear careerwise or have committed to do a best man speech or generally get the willies over public speaking then you might want to be at PresentationCamp London this weekend. It's billed as an "unconference" about speaking skills i.e it's less formal than the usual work related lecturing with no attendant pressure to dress smart, sit, behave and learn.
The "Rule of Two Feet" allows you to drop in and drop out of sessions as the need arises. If you've chosen to attend a particular session, and it turns out that it's not really what you were looking for, it's perfectly OK to use your two feet and (politely) walk out. Likewise, you can (politely) walk in on any other session, even if it's already begun. There's also a 'Back Channel' (an online, social media type of place) where you can keep in touch with other delegates before, during and after the event.
