The Brothers Grimes, aka John and Edward, are mere rungs on the stepladder to success that Simon Cowell scales; however, they will attempt to prove that their endearingly idiosyncratic routines on the X Factor have longer-lasting appeal than a mere pop talent contest by peforming at the O2 Arena. They'll entertain the audience at next week's National Television Awards show, in what will be their first appearance on the small screen since their elimination in November. Though the number they'll croon remains shrouded in secrecy, their duet will see the stage festooned with glittering Swarovski crystals, an operation that could cost insurers dear when the warbling high notes of those twin Irish brogues reach a certain frequency and shatter the pretty decorations.
