Still Booking: Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People

ninelessons.jpg Atheists, rationalists, humanists...here's the Christmas antidote you've been waiting for. Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People, hosted by Robin Ince, is described as 'a fractured variety version of the Royal Institute [Sic.] lectures mixing acclaimed evolutionary biologists with multi award-winning comedians and musicians'. When you look at the acts, it's hard to come up with any rational reason why there are still tickets available. Richard Dawkins will be there, of course, but the more loveable talents of Dara O'Briain, Al Murray, Barry Cryer, Richard Herring, Ben Goldacre, Chris Addison, Mark Steele...and, well, just about everyone else you've ever heard of with a rationalist bent (Spinoza and Descartes send their apologies). Surely the best line-up since the queue to board Noah's Ark? The show's on at the HMV Apollo in Hammersmith on 20 December. Buy tickets here.
