Le Dolci, offering London's “only weekly cake club”, is the tastily inspired online enterprise of Lisa Sanguedolce. A Torontonian transplant of Sicilian heritage, Lisa gleaned her baking skills helping her mother in the kitchen as a child. We reckon her mum must have baked up a storm there in Canada, as the sweets we've sampled are delish! Le Dolci's biscotti are proper crunchy, yielding nicely to a cuppa joe. And yummy indeed are the temptingly Italian “home-baked tastes of Sicily": cannoli, cubbaita, amaretti, catania crostata.

With plans to continue growing her online biz and sites set on opening a London shop, Le Dolci's one to watch as we enter 2010. Cupcakes start at £1.75 (plenty cheaper than many cupcake prices round town) and all of Le Dolci's baked goods are reasonably priced. Visit Le Dolci online at www.ledolci.co.uk for more deets!
