Boris Johnson's Brother Fights For Tory Seat

0812_johnson.jpg The Mayor's younger sibling is one of a six-strong shortlist to contest the soon-to-be-vacated Conservative seat of Orpington. Jo Johnson (pictured), who despite the conspicuously absent 'e' in his name is all man, looks like a younger Boris with Vidal Sassoon on speed dial. He's currently employed as South Asia bureau chief at the Financial Times, and his profile on the paper's website, with its talk of MBAs and a stint at Deutsche Bank, hints at a man who cuts a more serious tone than his endlessly mirthful brother. Should he manage to beat his five competitors in this Friday's vote, he'll inherit a notional majority of 5,221 from the retiring John Horam MP, and would likely enter Parliament at the next election.
