Crystal Palace are really keeping the boys in blue on their toes at the moment: while police are scouring Selhurst Park for potential terrorists, they might have to spare a few minutes to investigate a case of alleged racism. Following a fiery 1-1 draw between Palace and Cardiff at Ninian Park on Saturday, Cardiff's Jay Boothroyd accused Palace captain Shaun Derry of racially abusing Michael Chopra. The FA are waiting for the referee's report before weighing in, and Palace have already released a carefully worded statement, "welcoming" any enquiry into the incident and stressing the club's multi-ethnic traditions. Particularly unfortunate timing, this, as pre-match both sets of players were wearing T-shirts in support of the FA's Kick Racism Out of Football campaign.
