Arsene Wenger Joins 1,000-Points Club

Basking in the glow of giving a decent thumping to their north London rivals this afternoon, Arsenal fans can also take pride that their manager, Arsene Wenger, has become the second person admitted to a very exclusive club: those who have racked up 1,000 points in the Premier League. The win against Tottenham has pushed him onto that milestone; the only other manager to have breached it is Sir Alex Ferguson. Arsenal are unbeaten against Tottenham in the league for 10 years, and today's attempt did nothing to shift that record; Spurs may have pretensions to the top four, but on this showing, there's still a gulf to be bridged before they get there.
