New Bookshop For Notting Hill

BooksCooks_small.jpg We don't like arguing with literary giants, but we have to take issue with Robert McCrum's prediction of an all-out fight between Notting Hill bookshops when agents Sarah Lutyens and Felicity Rubinstein open their first shop in October. The new store will specialise in fiction, non-fiction and children's; nothing that will trouble the Blenheim Crescent triumverate, and we reckon Daunt have enough muscle (and travel specialisms) to not worry. In fact, in our quest to visit all the independent bookshops in London we've found booksellers to be of the friendly and non-warlike sort and look forward to paying Lutyens and Rubenstein a visit when they open...
