Fashion: The Return of Amanda Wakeley at LFW

News on the fashion grapevine has been coming thick and fast with the announcements that Burberry, Jonathan Saunders, Clement Ribiero, Matthew Williamson and Pringle will all be making a return to London Fashion Week this year.

The latest designer to announce that she will be showing her Spring/Summer 2010 collection at LFW in September is Amanda Wakeley. London Fashion Week's schedule is certainly growing. This year hasn't been kind to Wakeley who only recently reclaimed her business in April after it was sold by W Investments and she was told she was not needed any longer.

After a decade, the designer is now in control of her company and says, 'I am delighted to return to the London Fashion Week schedule in September, especially during such an important season. Through buying back my label, I have confirmed my commitment to the continued development of Amanda Wakeley and showing again in London is a key step forward in that process.'

London Fashion Week, which takes places from 18-22 September at Somerset House, is set to be the best yet. With it's 25 year celebrations, 'the timing couldn't be more perfect for Amanda Wakeley to be back at the helm of her company,' as Harold Tillman, the chairman of the British Fashion Council said.
