Boris Makes 'No Notable Achievement'

Boris_16Jul09.jpg Ouch. There's quite a barney going on at ConservativeHome.com, the unofficial-but-influential Tory website. YouGov founder Stephan Shakespeare wrote an article yesterday warning David Cameron to come up with a sense of purpose before the general election, unlike Boris's concentration on "election year initiatives that win voters", the lack of a "sense that anything important will change" and griping about worse traffic and the 100+ TfL staff earning over £100k a year. Sir Simon Milton, Boris's Chief of Staff, today responds with Crossrail, cycle schemes and seriously wheels out banning booze on the tube. The Mayor's always polarised people (including Cameron himself) but it's fascinating to watch the internal party bickering spill onto the interwebs. (Image / Simon K)
