Tweaks For 2012 Media Centre Design

Apple's house-sized Mac was a tough sell
The Olympics media centre, christened (admittedly by us) the ugly duckling of the Stratford site and one so sore on the eye that the government's design watchdog Cabe was moved to tears by its awfulness, has had a last-minute facelift. With work already underway, the architects have made some cosmetic alterations, chiefly to the detailing on the centre's facade. The building's car park, a particularly odious part of the original design, has been given an all-new perforated cladding that looks like it may have been borrowed from Apple's Mac Pro, and will apparently lend the area a "distinctive identity". The application will now be heard on June 23rd.
