Insomniac Ball Flyer

Oh sweet, caffeinated mercy. 8PM to 6AM—we're getting simultaneously fired up and tired out just thinking about it.

Now in its fourth incarnation of romanticizing chronic sleep disorder, The Insomniacs Ball returns with a bevy of exciting live acts and titillating names behind the decks. The line-up of bands actually performing live features ebullient electropopsters Everything Everything, who seem to be on the up-and-up in this neon ballroom town. Disco-stomp Infadels, retro-flavored Wave Machines, indie folky (what, no synth?) Bear Hands, sax-happy Chik Budo, and powerkraut Hook and the Twin will also play their own music.

Sexy name-draws Late of the Pier, cocknbullkid, and Does It Offend You, Yeah?-offshoot Plugs will spin tunes to keep bodies rocking into the ninth hour.

It's all slated to go down in the genre-bending, "am I clubby or am I arty?" space of Corsica Studios. It's likely an apt choice for a crowd that will be asking itself the same question—when it's not either grooving away or falling asleep.

For more information and catchy taster tracks from the live artists, check out the event's convoluted MySpace page. Tickets are 12.50 (8 with student ID) here. With fewer tickets left than you probably have friends on Facebook, we'd act soon if we were you.
