Nicole Kidman Quits Woody Allen Film

Fans of the Australian star's oeuvre can breathe a sigh of relief: she's withdrawn from Allen's new project, which is to begin filming in London imminently. Explaining her reasons for leaving, Kidman cited her wish to spend more time with her daughter; we think it may have more to do with the DVD box-set of Allen's recent celluloid efforts that some wise friend gifted her. Despite this, the ageing auteur will still be able to crap all over his legacy one more time, aided by a cast that, while shorn of Nicole, still includes Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Naomi Watts.
