Cycle Hire Scheme Sites Revealed

The introduction of a new cycle-hire scheme across London will be the big transport story of 2010. Well, that and the reopening of the expanded East London Line. And construction of the new western concourse at Kings Cross. And maybe a bit of Crossrail. OK, 2010 will be awash with transport stories, but none are more exciting to us than the bike hire scheme. Over 6000 cheap-hire cycles will be installed around inner London at 400 sites. The Guardian have a low-res map from TfL, which neatly shows just how well distributed these 'docking stations' will be (assuming they all get planning permission). They've also provided a document listing all the street names in case you want to put together a Google Map and annoy TfL by scooping their official maps with preliminary information.
