Expect to Pay: around £5 for a burrito

We left our recent lunch at Goodge Street Mexican pit stop, Benito’s Hat, with mixed feelings. The burrito we had was certainly better than ones we’ve had at other burrito stands in this town but had a ways to go before nearing the likes of some of our faves. Service was friendly, and the restaurant’s lime-coloured walls were a welcome and cheerful detour from our less festive Fitzrovian affairs. However, our burrito just wasn’t all that. Compared to, say, Luardo's, Wahaca or Daddy Donkey, it seemed kinda small. And we really would have preferred a more generous helping of salsa on it. It tasted pretty good (nothing offensive) and for around five quid was pretty decent value for money. If ya live or work in the Benito’s proximity, we don’t mind suggesting you keep it in mind. It was an easy lunch at a place with a friendly vibe.
