Every month, the folks at Fancyapint? get together to vote for their top ten favourite pubs. These are recently visited pubs that for one reason or another (the ambience, the booze, the company) stuck in their collective memory. Kindly, these booze-savvy Fancyapinters have decided to share their latest picks with Londonist and all our readers. Cheers!
Here’s the current list from Fancyapint? in no particular order of merit. They assure us that all ten pubs are quality establishments.
- Jerusalem Tavern (Farringdon, London)
Famous for its unique beers, it's a tiny pub so get there early if you want a seat.
A traditional local - great beers, good atmosphere and bar billiards.- The Constitution (Camden, London)
Decent beers and a canalside setting - it's no wonder it's getting popular with a younger crowd.- Pride of Spitalfields (Spitalfields, London)
It's not all trendy bars in these parts - there are great pubs too.- Wenlock Arms (City Road, London)
If it's a good selection of great beers you're looking for, look no further.- The Water Poet (Spitalfields)
Fun and games and decent beer on the fringes of the City- Cittie of Yorke (Holborn, London)
Sam Smith's beers and an amazing, one-of-a-kind interior- Princess Victoria (Shepherd's Bush, London)
A thoroughly enjoyable pub -despite the 'gastropub' label- The Feathers (Marylebone, London)
This has to be one of the smallest pubs we know and one of the friendliest.- Calthorpe Arms (King's Cross, London)
A fine Young's pub, that, thankfully, has not been 'brought up to date'.Image courtesy of rocketlass' Flickrstream under the Creative Commons Attribution license.
