Spiderman Arrested in London

He’s climbed the world’s most iconic structures from the Eiffel Tower to the Petronas Towers. But French ‘Spiderman’ Alain Robert chose a curious challenge during his trip to London yesterday: Portland House on Victoria Street.

Here’s the brute.

As in, here’s Portland House, not Monsieur Robert. He’s much more gorgeous, see —->

The Gallic climber scaled the 320 ft building as a protest against climate change. On reaching the top, he was arrested for wasting police time. Spoilsports. The police are always arresting superheroes. One of these days, they'll try cuffing the real Spiderman. We'd like to be a fly on the wall when that happens.

Monsieur Robert’s achievements are doubly impressive given that he suffers from vertigo and ‘60% disability‘, whatever that means. Disability may have hampered his journey to Portland House, as Victoria Tube has no step free access.

Robert has previously conquered One Canada Square and the Lloyd’s Building. We want to see him take on the Gherkin next.
