We love Richard Madeley.
Without him there wouldn't be Alan Partridge. Come to think of it we're not sure there ever was a need for Partridge when you have such great Madelisms as this one to John Lydon:
If I could throw a fishing rod into the corridors of time and reel you in, you'd throttle you, wouldn't you?
Or the time he sat watching a guest stutter only to reply "You looked as if your head was going to come off".
Sadly for Richard and Judy much of their recent press has involved the shady You Say, We Pay phone quiz debacle, but thanks to a London mugger we can now get back to admiring Richard for simply being Richard:
TV host Richard Madeley interrupted his Channel 4 show on Tuesday to issue a warning to his daughter's mugger. "I'd just like to make a gesture at this point to the person who stole our daughter's mobile phone," Madeley said, shaking his fist at the camera. Chloe Madeley, 19, was chatting on her mobile in west London when a girl ran up behind her and took her phone. Her father told viewers of Richard and Judy she "got jacked on the street" and was unhurt but "had her hair pulled".
If anyone has the fist shake on YouTube or even as an animated gif we'd be keen to see it.
